Thank you for introducing me to Ann and her program. What a wonderful mission she's on and how fantastic that she's so clearly up to the challenge and making a difference in so many people's lives. It also makes me for once feel lucky that our school doesn't have a lunch program - so I get to make lunches each morning and don't have to worry that my kids aren't getting fruits and veggies and such. I'd never before really thought about the "benefit" of having to make lunches every day. Thanks Kathy!

We need you in Denver, Ann! Also, what do you think about the fact that we don't have "home economics" anymore...i.e. we don't teach our kids how to prepare a nutritious meal as a part of basic, learned knowledge.... maybe basic meal preparation and nutrition should be a required course in school, as it is in Europe. Most people rely on processed, fast foods because preparing a balanced meal is not something they know how to do (or we don't have time)! We have passed this habit of eating processed, unhealthy foods on to our kids...most who wouldn't know what to do with raw chicken and vegetables if their lives depended on it!
