This was fabulous. I shared most of it with my kids as a little trip down musical-memory-lane. They particularly enjoyed Michael Jackson, as they’d heard so much about him in the news when he passed away but hadn’t really been exposed to his music. Thanks for the musical history lesson of sorts!!

The live version of Michael Jackson PLEADING with us to “make that change” in “The Man in the Mirror” drove me to my knees. Beautiful, inspiring, stompable, and it GOT to me in the way that the best music should! Also loved hearing and seeing Gladys (Now I KNOW you can do better than that) Knight – unflappable, and so musical! And Katy Tunstall’s gravelly version of “I Want You Back” took me in as well. Thanks, Kathy! Glad to see that you are still drawn in and inspired by song! (We have a history of shared compilations – all these hilarious old k7′s in my closet, with her carefully crafted yet mischievous mixes from the 80′s).
